Why are we here?
Well, in short, I have no idea. And that's a question this website won't even try to answer.
Instead, we'll focus on HOW we are here. Not just life, but a technological civilization. From the rate of expansion of the universe, our solar systems location in our galaxy, our planet's location from our sun, all the way down to unique (at least in our solar system) features of our planet.
This website is not intended to be, nor should be construed as, an attempt to validate the Rare Earth Hypothesis, as it's only directed to one planet - the one we call home. I am neither intelligent or egotistical enough to place boundaries on how or where life could arise or evolve in our solar system, galaxy, or Universe.
Also, since science is constantly making new discoveries, some of the data on this page may one day be out of date. This is mentioned explicitly on the page about Jupiter. I'll do my best to keep up with new discoveries. If you find any information in error, feel free to let me know, so I can look into it further.
The information contained in this page is public domain - feel free to share or borrow from it at any time. If you would like to use any graphics (that don't carry an outside source notification) for non-commercial purposes, all I ask is you name this website as the source.
Anyway, the menu is over on the left. Enjoy your stay. Below are listed some of my favorite science related websites you might enjoy.
